Employer Readiness Checklist
- Identify 1–2 roles/projects suited to early talent (~8–12 weeks duration or semester timeframe)
- Define role(s) by specific skills and outcomes, not years of experience
- Identify a sponsor (decision-maker) and a mentor (day-to-day support)
- Set and document compensation, schedule, and location expectations
- Create day(s) 1–7 onboarding plan (ie, systems' access, tools, intros, checkpoints)
- Prepare a basic supervision guide (weekly 1:1s, feedback cadence)
- Ensure deliverables and deadlines are visible in a shared doc or project board
- Define and communicate success metrics (completion, conversion, satisfaction)
- Plan to share the story (spotlights, LinkedIn posts, internal recap)
- Prepare post-program survey templates for both the manager and participant
- Identify next steps to scale if/when the initial pilot works
